Volunteer With the VAC
Volunteers are the backbone of the Valiant Air Command. We operate with a minimum of paid staff and our community of Volunteers is responsible for most of the major activities in the museum – from maintaining and flying aircraft, to educating and guiding our visitors or to organizing our social and special events – we are always looking for good people to join the VAC family.
Many volunteers start out as Tour Guides in our museum, then move into an area that interests them. We ask for a minimum commitment of 4 hours a week, but most people do much more. Our volunteers are from a cross-section – some have spent years in aviation, some have no prior experience with warbirds but are interested in finding a rewarding opportunity to support the community. The minimum age for volunteer applications is 18 – there is no upper age requirement!
We evaluate applications when we have openings on our team. You will not be contacted until we have an opening that may suit your skills and interests.
Some volunteer positions are subject to FAA and other agency regulations and may require background checks, drug screening, or other public safety verification. The Valiant Air Command, Inc. maintains a strict policy of equal opportunity for all volunteer applications.
